Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can you fix my home window?

Single pane breaks can often be fixed the same day. Insulated or double pane units have a turnaround time of about 3-7 business days.

I have 'fog' in my window. What causes that?

This happens when the unit ‘fails’. A failed unit happens when the seal breaks down allowing moisture to enter and the gasses to leak out. This will need to be replaced with a new Insulated Glass (IG), as the moisture cannot be removed.

Can I get a quote to replace a standard window in my home?

There is no “standard window”, and there are many factors that come into play when getting glass replaced. Each window in your home was custom made for your space. It is then measured down to a sixteenth of an inch. Then thickness, color, and how it is installed come into play. We offer free estimates and will come to your residence to determine what you need.

Insulated Glass Units

Insulated glass is made up of two or more panes of glass. The layers are spaced apart by a spacing bar and a primary and secondary sealant. The spaces are filled with air and gas that help to improve the thermal performance in your home. This can considerably reduce the cost of your heating and air bill each year. Insulated glass can come in any shape and also be made custom for your home. Typically the colors in which this glass is fabricated are clear, bronze, grey and green. IG Units have a typical install turnaround time of 7-10 business days after the measure is completed and the estimate is approved.
